Prabowo to Japanese Businesspeople: If There Are Problems, Complain and Report to Me
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has invited Japanese businesspeople to complain and report to him if they encounter any problems while investing in Indonesia. Prabowo emphasised the government’s strong commitment to creating an open, responsive investment climate that upholds legal certainty for investors. “If you have any problems, you can complain directly to me. You can report to me directly, through your ambassador, through your representatives, through MITI or JETRO or whatever, Keidanren. I am willing to receive complaints,” Prabowo stated at the Indonesia-Japan Business Forum in Tokyo on Monday (30/3/2026). According to him, the role of the President in the modern era is like a CEO of a country who must be able to respond to issues quickly and accurately. “He must be able to know the problems very quickly and solve them very quickly,” Prabowo said. This task force is designed to handle various issues, such as administrative delays to practices that harm investors. “Any company in Indonesia, whether foreign or domestic, that feels it is facing delays, administrative obstacles, and so on, or is experiencing exploitation or improper treatment, can directly contact this task force to eliminate barriers,” Prabowo said.
