President Prabowo Subianto summoned former Chief of the Presidential Communications Office, now serving as Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero), Hasan Nasbi, to the Presidential Palace on Thursday afternoon to attend a meeting with the Head of State.

Hasan Nasbi, who arrived at the Presidential Complex at approximately 15:00 WIB, stated that he was unaware of the specific agenda to be discussed during the meeting. The invitation to attend the presidential agenda was received the same day through a message from the protocol office.

“At 13:30 WIB I received a WhatsApp from Protocol. They said there was an agenda with the President. But I don’t know what the agenda is. To be honest, I really don’t know,” Hasan said in response to journalists’ questions.

He indicated he had not yet received clarification regarding his capacity at the meeting or the topics to be discussed.

Previously, Hasan also attended a meeting with President Prabowo at Hambalang, West Java, on Monday evening (9 March). In that meeting, he said he simply followed the discussion and listened to the remarks presented by various ministers.

According to him, the previous meeting discussed various current conditions, including the global situation such as foreign conflicts and the steps Indonesia needs to prepare to avoid being trapped in a crisis.

“Just current condition topics. We have, there’s war happening abroad, and how Indonesia should respond so we don’t get caught in a crisis, what the solutions are, various things like that. But the ministers are the ones speaking. I just listen. I don’t speak, I just listen,” he said.

Hasan stated that the discussion in that meeting lasted approximately three hours and was interspersed with breaking of the fast activities.

Regarding the possibility of new assignments or news about cabinet reshuffles, Hasan stated he had not received any information or discussions whatsoever regarding the matter.

He was also unable to comment if asked again to assist the government.

“I can’t comment yet. We haven’t had this yet, there’s been no discussion about it. Let’s wait. Later then. Thank you,” he concluded.

Besides Hasan, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia was also seen arriving at the Presidential Palace.
