Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto has returned to Indonesia following completion of his foreign agenda, which included attendance at the Board of Peace, bilateral meetings with United States President Donald Trump, and United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ).

According to a presidential secretariat statement in Jakarta, the presidential aircraft Garuda Indonesia PK-GIF carrying President Prabowo landed at the TNI Air Force Base Halim Perdanakusuma in Jakarta on Friday at approximately 08.00 WIB.

At the bottom of the aircraft stairs, the President was greeted by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, along with numerous high-ranking state officials and TNI-Polri personnel, including State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoedin, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit, and TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto.

The President, wearing a light brown safari uniform and black peci hat, exchanged conversation on the airport apron with the high-ranking officials who welcomed him home.

During his visit to the United States on 19-21 February 2026, President Prabowo attended the inaugural Board of Peace high-level conference in Washington DC. In the meeting, Indonesia reaffirmed its position in supporting the realisation of peace in Palestine.

He stated that he had studied President Trump’s 20-point proposals in BoP and believed that peace in Palestine could be achieved.

Afterwards, President Prabowo immediately held a bilateral meeting with United States President Donald Trump. The two discussed reciprocal tariff issues that had long been under negotiation.

As a result, the two heads of state signed an Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) beneficial to both countries, whereby Indonesia obtained zero per cent tariffs for 1,819 national products in the US market, including flagship commodities such as palm oil, coffee, cocoa, and electronic components.

Subsequently, on Monday (23 February), President Prabowo witnessed the signing of a framework agreement between the Indonesian Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) and Arm Limited in London, United Kingdom.

Arm is known to control approximately 96 per cent of chip technology for the global automotive sector and nearly 94 per cent of chip design for data centres and artificial intelligence. Through this cooperation, Indonesia targets accelerated mastery of strategic technology that has long been the foundation of various modern digital innovations.

On Wednesday (25 February), President Prabowo arrived at Marka Military Airport in Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He held a bilateral meeting with King Abdullah II discussing Palestinian peace issues, Indonesia’s participation in the Peace Council, and incidents occurring in the West Bank region.

Both leaders also discussed further steps to maintain peace momentum and promote regional stability.

Jordan holds a strategic position as one of the gateways for humanitarian assistance through land, sea, and air routes, with close coordination deemed crucial for ensuring effective distribution of aid and supporting de-escalation processes.

Subsequently, on Thursday (26 February), President Prabowo visited the United Arab Emirates. He was greeted by United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ).

The meeting formed part of President Prabowo’s working visit to deepen strategic partnership between Indonesia and the UAE, which has been developing rapidly in recent years.

President Prabowo was accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Judha Nugraha, and PT Pindad (State-Owned Enterprise) Director General Sigit P Santosa.

The dialogue continued in an expanded meeting to discuss numerous strategic agendas, ranging from strengthened energy cooperation, investment, to future economic partnerships.

The meeting reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to deepening mutually beneficial and long-term oriented collaboration.
