Prabowo Praises Disaster Task Force's Hard Work
Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto conveyed his appreciation to all parties involved in disaster management across various regions, including task force units and field personnel who have worked tirelessly and devoted themselves to assisting affected communities.
This was stated by Prabowo during the opening of a cabinet session at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday. He said the government continues to monitor the situation in several disaster-affected areas that are still in the recovery phase.
“Of course, we are holding this cabinet session at a time when many of our brothers and sisters are just recovering from the various disasters we have faced. I also thank you for the hard work of all parties,” Prabowo said.
The President cited one example of accelerated post-disaster recovery efforts undertaken by the task force through bridge construction. He noted that 218 bridges had been successfully built within approximately two and a half months.
According to Prabowo, this achievement demonstrates the government’s swift and responsive action in ensuring that access for disaster-affected communities can be quickly restored.
“218 bridges in 2.5 months shows a quick reaction, responsiveness, not only the presence of government but all parties, especially in rehabilitation and reconstruction in disaster areas,” he stated.
He added that rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in disaster areas also demonstrate the readiness and hard work of various government units and field personnel.
Prabowo assessed that personnel not only worked intensively on a physical level, but also demonstrated great sacrifice in carrying out humanitarian duties.
On behalf of the state and nation, Prabowo expressed appreciation to all parties involved in disaster management efforts.
He also specifically conveyed appreciation to Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian, who leads the rehabilitation and reconstruction task force, and requested that this recognition be passed on to all personnel working in the field.
“On behalf of the state and nation, and as President, I express my thanks to all parties who have worked hard. To the Home Affairs Minister as head of the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Task Force, I convey my appreciation and pass this recognition to all personnel in the field who have worked hard,” he concluded.
