Prabowo Meets Chatib Basri to Najwa Shihab in Hambalang
President Prabowo Subianto summoned several journalists, observers, and experts from various fields to his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, to discuss current issues and developments in strategic domestic policies.
Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom) Angga Raka Prabowo stated that the discussion event in Hambalang took place on Tuesday (17/3) evening until Wednesday (18/3) early morning.
“President Prabowo held discussions and interviews with several journalists, observers, and experts regarding current issues to respond to global geopolitical dynamics and developments in strategic domestic policies. This meeting serves as a space for in-depth discussion on the government’s direction in facing challenges and answering various important questions that are topics of public conversation,” said Angga Raka Prabowo, explaining the content of the Hambalang meeting on Thursday (19/3).
“The discussion, which took place from 19.00 to 01.30 WIB on 17 March 2026, is expected to be a concrete step in building national optimism to realise the implementation of national transformation,” he continued.
In the meeting with several experts and journalists, he explained that President Prabowo reaffirmed his full commitment to strengthening synergy with various elements of the nation.
“The President is fully committed to strengthening synergy with various elements of the nation, while inviting all parties to work together to build the country,” said the Head of Bakom RI.
In the official social media account of the President of the Republic of Indonesia @presidenrepublikindonesia, managed by the Government Communication Agency of RI, the discussion event took place in a roundtable format, with President Prabowo seated between Retno Pinasti, a senior journalist currently serving as editor-in-chief of SCTV-Indosiar, and then Hasan Nasbi, former head of the presidential communications office (PCO) and political consultant.
At the same discussion table were Muhammad Chatib Basri, former Minister of Finance, economist, and lecturer at Harvard University, then Najwa Shihab, senior journalist and founder of Narasi. There was also Rizal Mallarangeng, founder of Freedom Institute, columnist and observer, and Mardigu Wowiek Prasantyo, an influencer and content creator, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
