President Prabowo Subianto took the opportunity to meet with 12 American business magnates during his visit to the United States in recent days. The business leaders had previously collaborated with Danantara Indonesia, the largest state-owned enterprise asset holder.

According to Prabowo, the US magnates expressed keen interest in doing business in Indonesia. They also expressed confidence in the country’s continually improving business climate.

“They conveyed that they are very, very interested in Indonesia. They are confident — they see the climate continuing to improve, and they are positive about our economy,” Prabowo said in a press statement in the US, quoted on Sunday (22/2/2026).

At least 12 US business leaders met with Prabowo in Washington on Friday, 20 February 2026. According to an official statement from the Cabinet Secretariat on Instagram, Prabowo used the meeting to open up investment opportunities in Indonesia as widely as possible to the magnates.

In particular, he highlighted opportunities to build as many economic supply chains and employment opportunities as possible that would benefit Indonesia’s domestic interests.

The 12 business leaders who met with Prabowo included Founding Partner of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) Matt Harris, CEO of Eldridge Industries Todd L. Boehly, Co-President and Head of Global Growth Equity at General Atlantic Martin Escobari, and CEO of Kayne Anderson Al Rabil.

Also present were Managing Director of the Global Institute Infrastructure at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR) Neil R. Brown, Chairperson of the Investment Committee at Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP) Michael Weinberg, and Co-CEO of Oaktree Armen Panossian.

Additionally, Managing Partner of Related Fund Management (RFM) Justin Metz, Co-President of Stonepeak Luke Taylor, COO of Thrive Capital Nabil Mallick, CEO of Warburg Pincus Jeffrey Perlman, and CEO of AllianceBernstein Seth Bernstein were in attendance.
