President Prabowo Subianto has issued a specific directive to his economic ministers to regularly conduct outreach and roadshows to global stakeholders. The move is intended to ensure Indonesia’s positive government policies are well articulated on the international stage.

Investment and Downstream Industries Minister and BKPM Head Rosan Roeslani revealed the instruction was given following a discussion with the President at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Friday (13/2/2026).

“We have a great many very positive policies, but we need to reach out. We need to conduct outreach not only domestically but also internationally,” said Rosan at a press conference in Jakarta.

Specifically, Rosan noted that international rating agencies are among the primary targets. This is in response to scrutiny from such agencies regarding recent national economic developments.

“The President has asked us to be more active in reaching out to rating agencies. A joint team will be formed involving the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI),” he explained.

The cross-sectoral team is scheduled to conduct roadshows on a regular basis. The primary focus will be presenting the ongoing policy reform process, regulatory simplification, and improvements to the investment climate underway in the country.

According to Rosan, transparency regarding bureaucratic reform and fiscal policy — such as that previously outlined by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa — needs to be communicated internationally to maintain investor confidence.

“There has been considerable feedback that our policies are already sound, but they need to be more widely communicated. We will be more active in conveying the message that Indonesia continues to pursue reform for a better investment climate,” Rosan concluded.
