Prabowo Conveys Message to House Commission III: Common People in Legal Disputes Must Receive Justice
Jakarta – The Chair of House Commission III, Habiburokhman, stated that President Prabowo Subianto has conveyed a message regarding the enforcement of law and justice for ordinary citizens.
This was communicated by Habiburokhman during a public hearing with Nabilah O’Brien, owner of Bibi Kelinci restaurant, who had become a suspect in a defamation case filed by customer Zhendy Kusuma.
Notably, Nabilah O’Brien had first reported Zhendy to Mampang Police Station for an alleged theft. Zhendy was also designated as a suspect in that case.
However, both cases involving Nabilah O’Brien and Zhendy Kusuma have concluded following their mediation.
Regarding the cases, Habiburokhman assessed that not all legal disputes need to be resolved in court. “Not all legal disputes in society must be settled in court; minor legal disputes should, as far as possible, be resolved through family mediation outside court,” Habiburokhman stated during the session on Monday, 9 March 2026.
Habiburokhman then referenced the message conveyed by President Prabowo regarding the judicial process for ordinary citizens. “Specifically, President Prabowo Subianto conveyed to us a message to avoid errors in the judicial process or miscarriage of justice, to ensure that ordinary people involved in cases can smile because they have received justice,” he said.
Previously, the dispute between social media influencer and Bibi Kelinci Restaurant owner Nabilah O’Brien and guitarist Zhendy Kusuma finally reached resolution. Both parties agreed to settle after mediation by the Police Investigation Supervisory Bureau (Wassidik) of the Police Criminal Investigation Directorate. The mediation took place at the Criminal Investigation Directorate Building in Jakarta on Sunday, 8 March 2026.
At the meeting, both parties, who had previously filed complaints against each other, agreed to resolve the matter through family mediation. The Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, stated that the mediation was attended directly by the involved parties.
“Four parties attended and subsequently entered into a peace agreement,” Trunoyudo told journalists on Sunday, 8 March 2026.
The parties present included Nabilah O’Brien, Zhendy Kusuma, Zhendy’s wife Evi Santi Rahayu, and a representative from Nabilah’s side referred to as KDH. In the agreement, both parties consented to withdraw the police reports that had previously been filed.
