Prabowo Calls for Deregulation while Maintaining Priority Programmes
Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto has asked all ministries to pursue deregulation to make investment easier while ensuring the government’s priority programmes continue to be implemented, Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas said.
“On regulatory matters, the President has once again stressed that all parts of the government, including every ministry, should deregulate to facilitate matters related to investment and other areas,” Supratman said after attending a plenary cabinet meeting chaired by Prabowo at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Supratman said Prabowo gave the instruction in his address to the plenary cabinet meeting.
“Earlier, the President praised all the steps that the entire Red and White Cabinet has taken together,” he said.
However, Supratman stressed that the ministries concerned must still carry out priority programmes directly instructed by the President.
“Nevertheless, priority programmes directed by the President remain priorities and must be implemented,” he said.
Earlier, at the plenary cabinet meeting, Prabowo praised the Red and White Cabinet for its hard work and unity during two years of governing.
“The essence of this plenary meeting is that I want to express my thanks and appreciation to the entire Red and White Cabinet,” he said.
Prabowo said the ministers and cabinet members were among the nation’s finest sons and daughters, who had worked hard and delivered commendable results in carrying out the mandate entrusted to them by the people.
