Investment and Downstreaming Minister/BKPM Head Rosan Roeslani stated that President Prabowo Subianto has directed his entire cabinet to regularly conduct socialisation efforts or roadshows for stakeholders at the global level, in order to broaden the dissemination of information regarding the Indonesian government’s various positive programmes.

“Earlier we discussed this with the President. There are indeed many very positive openings, but we need to carry out this socialisation not only domestically but also abroad. Naturally, this includes reaching out to external parties including rating agencies. The President instructed us to more actively reach out to them,” said Rosan at a press conference following the Economic Outlook 2026 event at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Friday (13/2).

He said the government would form a team together with Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and related institutions to hold regular roadshows, not only for rating agencies but also for stakeholders outside Indonesia.

“A team will be formed together with the Coordinating Minister as well as the OJK (Financial Services Authority), the (Indonesia) Stock Exchange, and the Ministry of Finance, so that we can also hold regular roadshows for not only rating agencies but other stakeholders outside Indonesia,” Rosan continued.

He explained that the move aims to demonstrate that the government continues to implement policy reforms to improve the investment climate whilst responding to various inputs from external parties. Moreover, Rosan stated that Indonesia’s positive policies need to be communicated to stakeholders at the global level.

“We will be even more active, because we have received a great deal of input. In reality, many of our policies are positive, but they need to be socialised more broadly to the outside world,” said Rosan.

At the same event, President Prabowo spoke candidly about Indonesia’s economic conditions to investors at an economic forum entitled ‘Indonesia Economic Outlook 2026’.

The ‘Indonesia Economic Outlook 2026’ was held in response to a negative credit rating outlook from Moody’s on Indonesia. Another institution, MSCI, also issued a negative report on Indonesia’s capital market.
