PPIH finalises Hajj pilgrim return plan from 1 June 2026
Makkah - The Indonesian Hajj Service Personnel (PPIH) has finalised the return plan for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims starting 1 June 2026, following the smooth execution of peak rituals at Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna).
General Inspector of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) Dendi Suryadi stated that the repatriation process will proceed orderly according to flight groups (kloters) departure schedules from Indonesia.
‘The first kloter departs from Indonesia on 22 April 2026. Ideally, they will be the first to return on 1 June,’ Dendi said in Makkah on Saturday.
He explained that the return schedule serves as the foundation for PPIH’s operational planning, covering flight schedules, bus transfers to airports, and hotel service preparations.
Although potential schedule adjustments may occur on the ground, Dendi assured changes would be measured and are estimated not to exceed 20 per cent of the original schedule.
PPIH has also prepared special mitigation measures for pilgrims who are ill or have not completed the farewell tawaf.
Generally, Dendi assessed this year’s Hajj services as having run smoothly and successfully. He confirmed all minor on-ground observations would be used for evaluation to continuously improve future Hajj service quality.
As the return phase approaches, Dendi urged Hajj pilgrims to begin tidying their belongings. He reminded them to pack luggage properly, not exceeding flight weight limits, and to comply with Zamzam water regulations to ensure smooth airport procedures.
The first wave of Hajj pilgrim repatriation will run from 1 to 15 June 2026 through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, with the second wave scheduled for 7 to 30 June 2026 via Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Airport (AMAA) in Madinah.
In addition to preparing for repatriation, officials are currently finalising optimal services for nafar tsani pilgrims returning to Makkah hotels after completing the stoning of the jamarat in Mina.
