PP PIRA Distributes Hundreds of Food Parcels, Targets 2,000 Recipients
The leadership of Perempuan Indonesia Raya (PP PIRA) has organised a social action programme titled “PP PIRA Cares and Shares”, distributing hundreds of food parcels to communities across several areas in Jakarta.
PP PIRA’s Chair, Novita Wijayanti, stated that the organisation is targeting the distribution of 2,000 food parcels to those in need. To date, approximately 800 parcels have been distributed across various residential areas and orphanages.
“This activity has been conducted previously, and we are continuing it today across four distribution points,” said Novita in her statement on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.
Wijayanti explained that this social movement reflects PP PIRA’s commitment to communities in need, particularly during Ramadan and in the lead-up to Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
“We hope that the PP PIRA Cares and Shares initiative will benefit the families receiving assistance,” said Wijayanti, treasurer of the Gerindra Party faction.
Wijayanti hopes that the aid provided will not only alleviate daily hardships but also enable communities to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with greater dignity and happiness with their families.
Furthermore, this DPR Commission V member stressed the importance of strengthening social concern and mutual cooperation among communities. She also hopes that this initiative will inspire more people to contribute to others, particularly during religious occasions.
“This activity will continue to be part of efforts to strengthen social solidarity and foster a spirit of sharing within society,” she said.
In the initiative, Wijayanti was accompanied by a delegation of central advisors, including Marlyn Sugiono, Wahyu Prasetyo Hadi, and Gina Rohmat, alongside other central administrators.
The aid was distributed across several locations: 150 heads of household at the Tri Lestari Alam Waste Bank in Ulujami, and 200 heads of household in the Jembatan 5 area, Jelambar, Cengkareng.
Additionally, PP PIRA distributed food parcels to orphanages, with 100 parcels in the Tebet area and 221 parcels in the Pasar Minggu area.
