PowerGen to enter RI

LONDON (Reuter): British electricity generator PowerGen Plc
[PWG.L] said on Thursday it agreed to take significant stakes in
two independent power projects planned in Indonesia and Thailand.

The projects, which will cost 1.27 billion pounds ($2.1
billion), will have a total generating capacity of 1,850
megawatts.

PowerGen said the new projects would boost its international
capacity by 34 percent.
