Power Outage During Andrie Yunus Solidarity Concert, Shouts of "Watch Out for Intel!" Heard
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — A solidarity concert titled “From Citizens for Andrie” at M Bloc Livehouse suddenly went dark after a power outage lasting about 30 minutes on Monday evening (27/4/2026).
The blackout occurred while Dimas Bagus Arya, Coordinator of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS), was delivering an update on the acid attack case against Andrie Yunus.
The event had been running smoothly since 3:00 PM WIB, starting with a screening of the film “Pesta Babi” and performances by several bands.
As Dimas explained the conditions under which a case can be handled in a Military Court, the power suddenly cut out around 6:21 PM WIB. The room’s air conditioning and microphones immediately shut down, leaving the space filled with spectators in darkness and heat.
“Military courts, according to the law, can only be conducted if the perpetrator is military personnel involved in a military crime. There are only two types: in the line of duty (desertion), and during armed conflict in war,” Dimas explained.
When Dimas began linking this explanation to Andrie’s case, which is set to be tried in a Military Court on Wednesday (29/4/2026), the power went out completely.
“Well, in the context of this acid attack, it—” Dimas’s voice was cut off as the microphone he was using died.
Cheers erupted from various corners of the room. Some participants even shouted warnings.
“Watch out, there are intel agents!” cried one spectator.
In the darkness, the speakers continued delivering their statements. Dimas then resumed his presentation in a louder voice, while several attendees turned on their phone flashlights to provide illumination.
“So, friends, you must also understand that the context is that the perpetrator is a military member or soldier, but the actions and consequences are mostly suffered or harmed by civilians,” Dimas continued.
The power came back on around 6:58 PM WIB, shortly after the speakers stepped down from the stage. Spectators still inside and those queuing to enter the room immediately cheered.
