Jakarta (ANTARA) - Public trust in the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka stands at 75.1 percent, regarded as a key factor in preserving national stability amid global geopolitical and economic pressures.

This finding comes from a national survey by Poltracking Indonesia, which measures public perceptions of government performance and the effectiveness of priority programmes.

Poltracking Indonesia’s lead researcher, Masduri Amrawi, during an online release of the results evaluating government performance and national priority programmes attended in Jakarta on Monday, assessed that this trust figure serves as a strategic asset for the government in facing uncertain global conditions.

“If we observe this figure, viewers, 75 percent—75.1 percent of the Indonesian public trusts the Prabowo-Gibran administration. This certainly provides the government with strong public perception as political capital, especially amid global tensions and their impacts on various aspects, both economic and others that are direct consequences of occurring global political tensions,” he stated.

In addition to trust, the survey also records public satisfaction with government performance at 74.1 percent. Meanwhile, personal satisfaction with the President is at 74.9 percent.

Masduri views these achievements as indicating the resilience of public perceptions towards the government amid external pressures.

“The figure is 74.1 percent of the public satisfied with the performance of the Prabowo-Gibran administration. I think this finding is quite interesting, as it occurs in conditions that could potentially lower expectations of trust, including public satisfaction with government performance. Especially the impact from global geopolitical tensions, but if we look at the satisfaction figures with the government so far, it remains above 70 percent,” he said.

The survey also identifies factors driving satisfaction, including the free nutritious meals programme contributing around 23 percent, government assistance at 13.8 percent, and perceptions of firm leadership.

On the other hand, the government is deemed quite successful in maintaining social stability, with 77.8 percent of respondents rating interfaith harmony positively, and around 69 percent on aspects of security and national unity.

With the combination of high trust and satisfaction, the survey results show that public legitimacy for the government remains strong, while also serving as an important foundation in maintaining political and economic stability amid global dynamics.

The Poltracking Indonesia survey institute released the results of the evaluation of government performance and national priority programmes, emphasising methodological transparency as the basis for the validity of the findings.

The survey was conducted from 2-8 March 2026 on 1,220 Indonesian citizens aged at least 17 years or married, using stratified multistage random sampling with a margin of error of 2.9 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.

Data collection was carried out through face-to-face interviews by trained enumerators, with sampling units from the village/sub-district level to individual respondents.

Validation was done by comparing with the 2020 Central Statistics Agency census data and sample weighting. Quality control included spot checks on 20 percent of the sample, telephone re-verification, and the use of a real-time application-based system equipped with photos and geolocation to ensure data accuracy.
