Polri launches app for online police reports and lost items
Polri Deputy Chief, Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, said here on Tuesday that the initiative strengthens service features in the Polri Super App, which is available on the App Store and Play Store.
“The strengthening of features in the Polri Super App is a strategic step to provide police services that are increasingly transparent, accountable, and easily accessible to the public,” he said.
With the new system, the public no longer needs to visit police stations at the initial reporting stage and can submit reports anytime and anywhere via mobile devices.
The feature service is being implemented in stages, starting with the Greater Jakarta, West Java, and Banten Regional Police, before being expanded nationwide.
Polri has also introduced a Police Report Consultation Engine, an integrated system that allows real-time online consultation with officers through video conferencing and live chat, enabling faster guidance and handling.
Prasetyo emphasized that all processes are designed to be transparent and accountable.
“Every stage is digitally documented, equipped with monitoring features, communication history, and performance evaluation, ensuring professional, measurable, and transparent services,” he said.
He added that digitalization is not only about technology adoption but also part of improving Polri’s performance management system and building a more modern and integrated work culture.
Public services, he said, must be efficient, effective, and technology-based, supported by modern infrastructure.
Moreover, he noted that the police’s “Samapta” function will also be strengthened to ensure a quick response to public reports in the field.
