Police say influencer Nabilah O'Brien and Zendhy have both withdrawn their police reports
Police say influencer and restaurant owner Nabilah O’Brien, of the Bibi Kelinci restaurant in Kemang, South Jakarta, and guitarist Zendhy Kusuma and his wife Evi Santi have both withdrawn their police reports. Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, head of the Public Relations and Information Division (Karo Penmas) of the Indonesian National Police, said both sides attended a mediation at the National Police Headquarters today, Sunday (8 March). ‘In this peace agreement we have just conveyed, and during this process each side has withdrawn the reports from their respective complainants,’ he said on Sunday night. The two sides also agreed to delete their social media posts related to the matter. ‘Thus, in the minutes of the mediation, and in front of us all, both parties undertook to delete on their own social media as part of the peace agreement,’ he added. He did not definitively answer whether the withdrawals nullify the legal status of either party. ‘There are processes signed in this report. Our projection is to deliver justice to both parties,’ he said. Separately, Nabilah said she had forgiven Zendhy and his wife. She also said she had withdrawn the police report. ‘I forgive everyone; I am no longer a suspect, that's all,’ Nabilah said. Earlier, Nabilah O’Brien said she had been named a suspect after discussing the theft case she experienced on social media. She posted about it on her Instagram account @nabobrien. ‘I am the victim of a theft who has become a suspect at Bareskrim Polri. I remained silent for five months because I was afraid to speak out,’ she said in a post quoted on Friday (6 March).
For information, the case began when a married couple with the initials ZK and ER vented their anger because the food they ordered from Nabilah’s restaurant had not arrived. Not only did they berate kitchen staff, they also took food home without paying. Nabilah subsequently reported ZK and ER to the police. After investigation, ZK and ER were named suspects. Regarding this, Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, said there were two separate matters at Nabilah’s restaurant. The first case concerns alleged theft under Article 363 of the Indonesian Penal Code, handled by Mampang Prapatan Police Station. ‘Where NAA (Nabilah) is the victim, reporting ZK and ESR. The two suspects have been named and are scheduled for questioning on Monday, 9 March 2026, but their counsel has sent a letter requesting a postponement of the examination,’ he said. Then, the second matter relates to a CCTV recording uploaded to social media, handled by Dittipidsiber of Bareskrim Polri, in which Nabilah is the respondent. ‘So you need to understand, these are two different cases with different objects. That means there are legal consequences for what both sides did,’ he said. ‘Polri remains professional, proportional and transparent in handling these matters,’ he added.
