Police Reform Acceleration Commission Meets Prabowo to Report Recommendations

The Commission for the Acceleration of Police Reform met with President Prabowo Subianto at the Palace this afternoon. They reported their results or recommendations related to Polri reform. According to observations by detikcom on Tuesday (5/5/2026), they arrived one by one starting from 14:30 WIB. One of the first to arrive was commission member Ahmad Dofiri, followed by Chairman Jimly Asshiddiqie, then other members Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Otto Hasibuan, up to Mahfud MD. Dofiri said all members were invited to this meeting. However, he has not yet revealed the results of the commission’s recommendations. “Not yet (can explain the results). Our agreement in the commission is that only after reporting to the President, then it can be done,” he said. Dofiri assured that the work of the Commission for the Acceleration of Police Reform is in accordance with the President’s targets. In its duties, the commission also directly absorbs aspirations from the public. “Yes, of course. We are working according to what is mandated by the President and also the results of absorbing aspirations from the public,” he stated.
