Police Raid Shops and Cafes Selling Illegal Liquor in Bogor, Seize Hundreds of Bottles
Police conducted a raid on unlicensed or illegal alcoholic beverages (miras) in Parung subdistrict, Bogor, West Java. Hundreds of bottles of miras and mixed ciu were seized.
Parung Police Chief Kompol Maman Firmansyah stated that the raid took place over the weekend. The operation also involved the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and local government.
“The raid was carried out at two locations: a herbal shop in Lebak Wangi village and a cafe in Pamegarsari, Jalan Raya Parung,” said Maman on Monday (20/4/2026).
From the raid, the joint team secured approximately 100 bottles of miras without distribution permits. Additionally, mixed ciu of the miras type was also seized.
“This alcohol raid activity is part of the police’s preventive efforts to create a safe and conducive public security and order situation, especially on weekend nights,” he explained.
The activity also serves as a form of prevention against potential security disturbances in the community, such as brawls, illegal racing, and other criminal acts in the Parung area.
“Parung Police will continue to enhance patrols and other police activities to provide a sense of security to the community,” he concluded.
