Police are investigating allegations of corruption involving Village Funds (DD) in Akar-akar Village, Bayan District, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Investigators have identified state losses amounting to Rp 551 million in the management of those funds. “State losses of Rp 551 million,” stated the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim) of the North Lombok Police Resort, Iptu I Komang Wilandra, on Monday (11/5/2026). The state losses are based on calculations by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) of NTB. The investigation process is ongoing. The Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Lombok Police Resort has not yet named any suspects in this corruption case. According to Wilandra, the determination of suspects is still awaiting the schedule for the case review at the NTB Regional Police (Polda). The alleged corruption under investigation concerns village funds from 2021 to 2023. In 2021, Akar-akar Village received Village Funds amounting to Rp 2.3 billion. The funds were disbursed in three stages: the first stage Rp 1.2 billion, the second stage Rp 735 million, and the third stage Rp 389 million. Then, in 2022, Akar-akar Village received Village Funds amounting to Rp 2.4 billion. The disbursement in this year was also carried out in three stages, namely Rp 1.5 billion in the first stage, Rp 554 million in the second stage, and Rp 277 million in the third stage. Those funds were used for various activities, ranging from the management and creation of local village communication and information installations, rehabilitation of public toilet facilities, to maintenance of village maternity post infrastructure (polindes). Finally, in 2023, Akar-akar Village received Village Funds amounting to Rp 1.03 billion, which was also disbursed in three stages: the first stage Rp 433 million, the second stage Rp 311 million, and the third stage Rp 292 million. The funds were used for the rehabilitation of cultural infrastructure for the village’s traditional house to the construction of a village monitoring post. Police found deviations in the management of Akar-akar Village Funds that resulted in state losses. “Witness examinations have been completed; now it’s just waiting for the case review schedule at Polda NTB,” explained Wilandra.
