Police hospital gets new facility

JAKARTA (JP): The national police will expand the facilities of its medical center in Kramatjati, East Jakarta, by constructing a new four-story building, for a 12-bed intensive care unit and 40 VIP rooms.

The ground-breaking ceremony was led by deputy police chief for administrative affairs Maj. Gen. Aji Komaruddin over the weekend.

The new facilities, at the Sukanto hospital, will be used mainly for the medical treatment of police personnel and suspected criminals.

The Rp 2 billion (US$892,860) project is expected to be completed in a year. (bsr)
