South Jakarta Metropolitan Police carried out the Bang Jasri (Bhayangkara Jakarta Asri) programme at Jami An-Nur Mosque in Cipete Utara, Kebayoran Lama. In addition to cleaning activities, officers also provided social assistance to the community and mosque administrators during the month of Ramadan.

South Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Commissioner I Putu Yuni Setiawan said the activity was part of the implementation of the Bang Jasri programme, which aims to create a Jakarta environment that is Safe, Healthy, Clean and Beautiful, including in places of worship.

The police chief and personnel attended the programme on Monday (23/2). Equipped with full cleaning gear, they worked together to clean the mosque grounds.

“Through the Bang Jasri programme, we want to demonstrate that the National Police is present in social activities and environmental care. Cleaning houses of worship is a form of our service to provide comfort for the community,” said Commissioner Putu on Tuesday (24/2/2026).

Ahead of the breaking of the fast, South Jakarta Metropolitan Police distributed takjil (pre-iftar snacks) to local residents and passing motorists in front of the mosque. The police also provided assistance to the mosque administrators.

The Bang Jasri activity concluded with a communal iftar among police ranks, mosque management board (DKM) members, religious leaders and congregants. A warm and familial atmosphere was evident as police personnel sat cross-legged alongside residents enjoying the iftar meal, strengthening synergy in maintaining public security and order (Kamtibmas).

The chairman of the Jami An-Nur Mosque DKM expressed his gratitude for the comprehensive effort. He hoped the activity would strengthen ties between the police and the community.

“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful for the help. The mosque is now cleaner and tidier, and the communal iftar has strengthened our bonds. We hope positive activities like this will continue and bring blessings to all the officers,” he said.
