Police Chief: We Need a Lot of Input and Evaluation
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has acknowledged that the Bhayangkara Corps greatly requires substantial input to become better.
This statement was made by Listyo in response to the relocation of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) headquarters, which is no longer located in the Police Academy (PTIK) complex.
“On one hand, we certainly need to receive a great deal of input and evaluation,” said Listyo during a press conference at the Kompolnas office in Duren Tiga, Pancoran, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (5/5/2026).
The four-star general stated that all violations within the Indonesian National Police (Polri) must always be addressed to rebuild public trust.
“We, the Polri, are open to continuous improvements, so that what the public expects from the Polri institution, with this new Kompolnas building, we hope everything can become better,” he said.
It was previously reported that the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) office has officially moved from the Police Academy (PTIK) complex in Melawai, Kebayoran Baru, to Duren Tiga, Pancoran, South Jakarta.
“Today, I, together with the Police Chief, have inaugurated the use of the new office for Kompolnas. Previously, Kompolnas was located near the National Police Headquarters there, and now it has moved here,” said Djamari during a press conference at the Kompolnas office on Monday.
Djamari explained that the relocation aims to facilitate public access for those dealing with Kompolnas.
“And to eliminate the reluctance to come to the area around PTIK. We at Kompolnas also feel proud when we are here inaugurating this,” he emphasised.
