Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H halalbihalal event for the extended family of the All-Indonesian Labour Confederation (KSPSI) AGN. The Police Chief, attending as Chairman of the KSPSI Advisory Board, arrived at PT KMK Global Sports in Talagasari, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Tuesday afternoon (14/4/2026). His arrival, along with his entourage, was warmly welcomed by KSPSI President Andi Gani Nena Wea and thousands of attending workers.

Accompanying the Police Chief were, among others, Head of Public Relations Division Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, Head of Polri Medical Services Inspector General Asep Hendradiana, and Head of Personnel Bureau for SSDM Polri Brigadier General Langgeng Purnomo.
KSPSI Advisory Board members in attendance included Commissioner General Yuda Gustawan (Industrial Relations Mitigation Sector), Commissioner General Imam Widodo (Organisation Sector), Ferriyady Hartadinata (UMKM and Cooperatives Sector), Arsjad Rasjid (Economy Sector), and Inspector General (Ret.) Cahyono Wibowo (Law Enforcement Sector).
Also present were Tangerang Regent Moch Maesyal Rasyid, Tangerang Resort Police Chief Commissioner Andi Muhammad Indra Waspada Amirullah, and other local government and police officials from Tangerang Regency.
In his address, General Sigit reminded attendees of the uncertain global situation, particularly due to conflicts in the Middle East. He stated that this would directly impact the domestic economy.
“Primarily at this time, we all know that we are facing a global escalation, especially in the Middle East, which will undoubtedly affect the global economy and, of course, the domestic economic conditions,” said General Sigit.
He added that the government is continuously striving to promote peace while preparing economic mitigation measures.
“Therefore, what we must do is support and encourage government initiatives. First, how we continue to promote peace efforts. On the other hand, how Indonesia can keep creating job opportunities in the current situation,” he continued.
The Police Chief stressed that the sustainability of industry and incoming investments are the primary prerequisites for improving workers’ welfare. According to him, workers and entrepreneurs must demonstrate that Indonesia is a safe place to invest.
“We understand that workers can prosper if industry grows. If industry is healthy, workers will certainly receive their rights. Workers will get appropriate incentives. And ultimately, workers will prosper. This is the climate we must build, which we must show to the world so that Indonesia becomes an investment area that can compete with other countries,” emphasised the former Criminal Investigation Agency Chief.
General Sigit also conveyed a message to maintain good industrial relations.
“We all must be united; entrepreneurs must be united, labour unions must be united, the government must be united, so that we have togetherness to show the world that even in a crisis situation, Indonesia becomes a place or paradise for investment,” he added.
Regarding regulatory issues such as the Job Creation Law, the Police Chief encouraged informal communication between workers and entrepreneurs to find a middle ground before entering the legislative arena.
“This time, I encourage fellow workers and fellow entrepreneurs to meet informally, discuss, find a middle point that can be accepted by union colleagues and also entrepreneur colleagues, so that when the revision rolls in the DPR, there are no more issues because it has already been resolved at the level before entering the DPR,” explained General Sigit.
Concluding his speech, the Police Chief invited the extended labour and entrepreneur families to celebrate Labour Day (May Day) on 1 May together at Monas, which is planned to be attended by the President of Indonesia.
“I invite entrepreneur friends to join us in attending and celebrating our birthday together at Monas, which will be attended by the President, and let’s together make this workers’ birthday a shared victory for Indonesia and for Indonesian workers,” he concluded.
