Police Bust Operation of 3 Illegal Oil Wells in Blora, Production Capacity Reaches 1,000 Litres per Day
Central Java Provincial Police (Polda Jateng) have arrested three individuals involved in drilling illegal oil wells in Blora Regency. The three wells are located on land owned by Perhutani, with a production capacity reaching up to 1,000 litres per day.
Dirreskrimsus Polda Jateng, Kombes Pol Djoko Julianto, revealed that one illegal oil well is located in Dusun Nglencong, Desa Botoreco, Kecamatan Kunduran. The other two wells are in Desa Ngiyono, Kecamatan Jepah.
“These three locations are on Perhutani-owned land, managed illegally by the perpetrators,” said Djoko during a press conference at the Ditreskrimsus Polda Jateng headquarters in Semarang City on Tuesday (14/4/2026).
From the illegal oil well drilling case, Ditreskrimsus Polda Jateng arrested three suspects with initials S (50 years old), B (34), and K (51). They each acted as managers of the illegal oil wells.
According to Djoko, each illegal oil well had been operating for about three months. Their depths varied, at 10, 50, and around 300 metres. Information about the existence of these three oil wells was obtained by Ditreskrimsus Polda Jateng from residents.
“So they conducted drilling not on remnants of old wells. They performed new drilling, and this also disturbs the community,” said Djoko.
He explained that his team acted on the illegal oil well in Desa Botoreco on 3 March 2026. Meanwhile, the two wells in Desa Ngiyono were acted upon on 6 April 2026.
