Jakarta (ANTARA) - Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Resort has arrested two suspects in the assault on Ronald Aristone Sinaga, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) or Bro Ron, who are currently under examination. “The two suspected perpetrators have been secured at Menteng Police Sector for further processing,” said the Head of Menteng Metropolitan Police Sector, Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Resort, AKBP Braiel Arnold Rondonuwu, to reporters in Jakarta on Tuesday. According to him, the victim, Bro Ron, has filed a police report regarding the assault incident that occurred on Monday (4/5) around 16:22 WIB. “Mr Ronald has filed a police report, and we have escorted him for a medical examination and taken statements, including from witnesses,” he said. The incident began when the victim, along with 15 other people who are employees of PT Sinergi Karya Sejahtera, arrived for an audience at the office of Michael Putra Dan Partners regarding unpaid wages for the employees. Then, since the audience could not meet Michael, the person being demonstrated against, the Menteng Metropolitan Police Sector took the initiative to hold mediation at the Menteng Metropolitan Police Sector office. Initially, the audience process at the location proceeded safely and conducively with police accompaniment, until a group of unidentified people appeared and, without clear reason, carried out intimidation and obstructed the audience process. “As a result of the actions of that group, the situation heated up and an argument arose, ultimately leading to the victim receiving punches from that group,” said Braiel.
