Cikarang Pusat Police Station, in collaboration with TNI and local government, conducted joint patrols in the Cikarang Pusat area of Bekasi Regency, focusing on high-risk locations to prevent street crime and criminality.

Chief of Cikarang Pusat Police Station AKP Elia Umboh stated the operation was part of police preventive measures to ensure public safety and protection during nighttime activities. “Through these patrols and routine operations, we aim to provide comfort to the public. The presence of officers on the ground is expected to prevent potential street crimes and maintain a conducive environment,” he said in a statement on Friday, 29 May 2026.

During the patrols, the area under Cikarang Pusat Police Station’s jurisdiction remained safe and orderly, with no street criminals, sharp weapons, or other dangerous items found.

The police chief added that the ‘Jaga Bekasi’ initiative is a concrete effort by Bekasi Metropolitan Police Resort to maintain regional security stability, enabling residents to carry out activities peacefully, particularly during late-night and early-morning hours.

The patrol mobilised 79 joint personnel under AKP Elia Umboh’s leadership, conducted in the early hours of Friday, 29 May 2026. Key locations targeted included Kalimalang Inspection Road, Jayamukti Village, Cikarang Pusat District, and Bekasi Regency.

The operation involved TNI, Polri, Satpol PP, Deltamas area security, Pamdal, and Pokdarkamtibmas personnel. The presence of joint officers at strategic points demonstrates the authorities’ commitment to ensuring public safety, especially for night workers, motorists, and residents active in the Cikarang Pusat area.

During the operation, officers conducted humane and selective vehicle and driver checks while monitoring public activities to prevent 3C crimes (theft, armed robbery, and motorcycle theft), illegal street racing, youth fights, and other public order disturbances.

In addition to patrols and surveillance, officers urged the public to remain cautious when driving at night, comply with traffic regulations, wear standard helmets, and ensure all vehicle documents are in order.
