PLN Records 20,007 Customers in East Java Utilising Power Upgrade Promotion

Surabaya, East Java (ANTARA) - PLN East Java Distribution Unit recorded 20,007 customers utilising the power upgrade promotion with a 50% discount, realising an increase in delta power of 22,218,800 Volt Ampere (VA). “The high enthusiasm of customers shows the growing need of society for a safe, reliable, and sufficient electricity supply,” said General Manager of PLN East Java Distribution Unit Ahmad Mustaqir in Surabaya on Tuesday. Ahmad explained that this power upgrade promotion programme is PLN’s commitment to providing ease for customers in meeting their increasing electricity needs, both for household requirements, business activities, and daily productivity. Through the Power Up Real, Safe Electricity Smooth Work programme, low-voltage customers can enjoy a 50% discount on power upgrade costs easily via the PLN Mobile app. This promotion is intended for low-voltage customers in all one-phase tariff groups with initial power from 450 Volt Ampere (VA) to 5,500 VA who wish to upgrade up to a maximum of 7,700 VA. With this cost reduction, Ahmad said, customers can more freely adjust their electricity capacity according to the needs of using electronic appliances or business activities. Ahmad explained that sufficient and reliable electricity plays an important role in supporting community comfort and business sector productivity, including UMKM actors in East Java. “With safe and adequate electricity, household activities become more comfortable, while business actors can work more smoothly and productively,” he stated.
