PLN Addresses Concerns Over Electricity Bill Increase Rumours
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Executive Vice President for Corporate Communications and TJSL at PT PLN (Persero), Gregorius Adi Trianto, has emphasised that the company has not raised electricity tariffs.
This statement addresses the issue of increased electricity bills raised by netizens on social media.
“Regarding the widespread information circulating on social media about complaints of increased electricity bills for April 2026, we confirm that there is no tariff increase,” explained Greg, as quoted from Kompas.com on Monday (4/5/2026).
“For the April-June 2026 period, electricity tariffs remain stable and unchanged from the previous period,” said Greg.
Regarding the issue of increased electricity bills, Greg advised customers to use the PLN Mobile app to monitor token purchase history and make independent bill payments.
“This is to enable better understanding and management of electricity usage patterns more efficiently,” he explained.
