PKH Task Force Saves Rp370 Trillion, Prabowo: This is 10% of the State Budget
President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has disclosed that the Task Force for Regulating Forest Areas (PKH) at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has saved Rp370 trillion in state funds over the last 1.5 years. Prabowo explained that the recovered assets include land and forest areas. “Our entire state budget is approximately Rp3,700 trillion, meaning that the efforts of the PKH task force over the past 1.5 years have saved nearly 10% of the state budget,” Prabowo stated on Friday (10/4/2026). From these recovered assets, Prabowo estimated that all schools in Indonesia could be repaired, revitalised, and modernised. In addition to school improvements, the saved state assets could be used for bridge construction. “We can modernise them, equip them with digitalisation, smart digital screens, repair all sanitation facilities in all schools, we can build thousands of bridges in our villages—imagine the change in our people’s fate with the salvation of money and assets that you have produced,” Prabowo said. For this achievement, Prabowo expressed his gratitude to the PKH Task Force. He also gave the highest appreciation for their sacrifices, fieldwork, audits, and other physical efforts that are not easy. He even admitted knowing about intimidation and threats faced by the PKH Task Force. “For us elites in Jakarta, in air-conditioned rooms, we cannot imagine how difficult the work of the PKH Task Force is, and I understand you, I understand, because a president has eyes and ears—I know many PKH Task Force members have been threatened, some intimidated, and so on. Once again, I greatly appreciate your work and sacrifices,” he elaborated.
