PK Rejected, Former Makassar Customs Chief Still Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison

Former Head of the Makassar Customs Office, Andhi Pramono, remains sentenced to 12 years in prison after the Supreme Court (MA) rejected his extraordinary legal remedy, the Review (PK). “Decision ruling: Reject PK,” as quoted from the MA Decision Directory website on Tuesday night (5/5). Case number: 1641/PK.PIDSUS/2026 was examined and tried by panel chairman Prim Haryadi with member judges Ansori and Achmad Setyo Pudjoharsoyo. Substitute Clerk Asri Surya Wildhana. The decision was handed down on Tuesday, 28 April 2026. This sentence is harsher than the demand by the Public Prosecutors from the Corruption Eradication Commission (JPU KPK), who sought 10 years and 3 months imprisonment for Andhi. Andhi was found guilty of receiving gratifications worth Rp58.9 billion while working within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. The criminal acts occurred throughout the period from 2012 to 2023 when Andhi served as Acting Head of the Enforcement Section of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise for Riau and West Sumatra in 2009-2012; Head of Customs and Excise Service Section V of the Type Madya Customs Office (PMB) B Palembang from 2012-2016. Subsequently, Head of Type Madya Customs Office (TMP) B Teluk Bayur 2016-2017; Head of Customs and Excise Division at the Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise from 2017-2021; and Head of Type Madya Customs Office (TMP) B Makassar from 2021-2023. Andhi is also being legally processed by the KPK in a case of alleged Money Laundering Offence (TPPU).
