Pilgrims' hospital to be inaugurated

President Soeharto is scheduled to inaugurate a haj pilgrim hospital in Pondok Gede, East Jakarta, next month.

The Antara news agency reported that the construction of the hospital, which will be able to accommodate around 4,000 pilgrims from Jakarta, was completed on Sept. 15.

Chief of the City Health Office Soeharto said that all of Jakarta's Moslems who intend to perform the Haj pilgrimage will be required to undergo a medical check-up at the new hospital.

He said that the plan had been submitted to the governor. He was optimistic that the governor will approve the proposal because of its profitability. (mas)
