The Pidie Jaya Regency Government, Aceh Province, has disbursed a budget of Rp8.8 billion to aid in repairing houses damaged by hydrometeorological disasters in the region. Pidie Jaya Regent Sibral Malasyi said on Wednesday that the second phase of house repair aid was distributed to 296 beneficiary families.

‘The disbursement of this aid is part of the acceleration of rehabilitation and reconstruction after the disaster. The aid disbursed is Rp30 million per damaged house unit,’ said Sibral Malasyi.

He stated that the second phase of house repair aid represents the government’s commitment, together with local authorities, to ensure that the homes of disaster-affected residents can be inhabited again soon.

‘This aid embodies the government’s responsibility to accelerate recovery after the hydrometeorological disaster that occurred at the end of November 2025,’ said Sibral Malasyi.

The Regent said the Pidie Jaya Regency Government would continue to work so that post-disaster recovery proceeds rapidly and targets are met, with transparency and in accordance with applicable regulations.

‘We hope that the funds for house repair aid will be used as effectively as possible by the beneficiaries. The government will continue to monitor and provide guidance until all stages are completed,’ said Sibral Malasyi.

Meanwhile, Pidie Jaya Deputy Regent Hasan Basri emphasised the importance of the synergy of all parties in overseeing the rehabilitation and reconstruction post-disaster process.

He said the local government hopes the repairs to disaster-affected houses can be completed soon, so social and economic activities of the community can return to normal.

‘The aid for damaged houses not only repairs the physical structures but also restores the spirit and hope of the community to rise after the disaster,’ said Hasan Basri.
