Phone banking is being offered by foreign banks in Jakarta. I
can mention Citibank, Hong Kong Bank and Standard Chartered Bank
which have used phone banking for their customers' satisfaction.
Now, a lot of fund owners are switching to foreign banks because
they have no confidence in the national banks, although the
government guarantees all kinds of savings placed in any national
bank.

Citibank has been operating phone banking for quite some time.
Its service is satisfactory. The phone banking number is also
easy to get through. Any banking transaction can be done easily.
Hong Kong bank is new for phone banking though the service is
also satisfactory.

The benefit of phone banking is that when you open a time
deposit, you can do it through phone banking, but when it's due
the customer will have to go to the bank, fill the forms and
queue.

I should admit that not all foreign banks offer good services.
You can find out some good national banks and deposit your money
there.
