Philippines Ranks Second for Happiest Workers in Asia-Pacific
KOMPAS.com - The Philippines occupies second place as the country with the happiest workers in the Asia-Pacific region in 2025. The result comes amid growing attention from workers to the meaning of work, mental well-being, and opportunities for career development.
The Workplace Happiness Index: Philippines 2025 report from the job-search platform Jobstreet by SEEK shows that 77 per cent of Filipino workers report feeling ‘quite happy’ or ‘very happy’ at work.
Indonesia sits in first place with a worker happiness rate of 82 per cent.
According to BusinessWorld (15 May 2026), 44 per cent of Filipino workers report being ‘quite happy’, while a further 33 per cent feel ‘very happy’ with their jobs.
According to the report, workers are increasingly valuing jobs that are meaningful and aligned with personal goals as well as the company’s vision.
Seventy-seven per cent of respondents said they feel valued at work, while 74 per cent said their jobs are satisfying.
Managing Director Jobstreet Philippines, Dannah Majarocon, says the survey results show that workers’ priorities are starting to change.
‘This report shows how workers’ preferences continue to evolve and how the work environment shapes their happiness and sense of purpose,’ Majarocon said.
She added that a healthy work culture has become an important factor in sustaining engagement and loyalty over the long term.
The survey showed workers in the Visayas region as the happiest group, with a score of 82 per cent.
Meanwhile, workers in the National Capital Region recorded a happiness level of 77 per cent, while Luzon and Mindanao were both at 76 per cent.
