Head of Corporate Secretary at PERURI, Adi Sunardi, stated that the synergy of 15 State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in Raja Ampat Regency, Southwest Papua, has successfully boosted the revenue of local Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) by 87.5 percent. “We believe that Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) is not only about physical development but also about creating long-term value,” Adi said in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday. The support forms part of an economic empowerment programme implemented in Kampung Mutus, Raja Ampat. Assistance for BUMDes was provided to eight members, successfully driving improvements in management capacity and revenue increases. Additionally, capacity building for conservation groups was conducted through diving training and certification. In the same village, this SOE collaboration also strengthened the environmental ecosystem by planting 2,000 mangrove seedlings and rehabilitating coral reefs through the planting of 650 coral fragments covering an area of approximately 225 square metres. The programme also provided electricity access to 119 households, reaching around 500 beneficiaries. In the education sector, support was given to SD YPK Effata Mutus through renovations of learning facilities and the provision of internet access, as well as to SMPN 11 Raja Ampat through educational infrastructure including computers, solar panels, and textbooks. Besides Kampung Mutus, the SOE TJSL Collaboration Programme was also implemented in Kampung Manyaifun, with a focus on strengthening basic infrastructure and improving community social services. Infrastructure support included electricity access for 59 households, reaching 117 beneficiaries, including public facilities such as schools, places of worship, and health services. In the education sector, renovations were carried out on three school buildings at SD YPK Imanuel Manyaifun.
