Jakarta (ANTARA) — Perum Perumnas has partnered with PT Paramount Enterprise International to develop residential areas for the public.

Perum Perumnas Acting President Director Imelda Alini Pohan said collaboration with various partners was part of the company’s strategy to accelerate asset optimisation while developing housing that would deliver broader benefits to the public.

“Perumnas has a portfolio of strategic land in various regions with significant development potential. Through collaboration with partners with the expertise, experience, networks and investment capacity, we want to ensure that this potential can be developed into residential areas that provide broader benefits to the public,” Imelda said in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.

Perum Perumnas is continuing to strengthen its role as a strategic partner to the Government in supporting the 3 Million Homes programme through area development and the provision of decent, affordable housing. Its efforts include optimising assets, developing areas and strengthening collaboration with various strategic partners.

Perumnas’ role in supporting the national housing agenda has been reinforced by the designation of 14 of its project sites as National Strategic Projects (PSN) under Presidential Regulation No. 68 of 2026.

The sites are spread across several regions and cover 1,700 hectares, with potential for about 127,000 housing units. Development types include large-scale residential areas, transit-oriented development (TOD), urban high-rise housing and the revitalisation of residential areas.

To accelerate residential development and optimise its assets, Perumnas is continuing to pursue strategic partnerships. One such initiative is the cooperation between Perum Perumnas and PT Paramount Enterprise International.

The agreement focuses on exploring the development of landed housing on strategic Perumnas land. It was formally launched with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) by the acting president director of Perum Perumnas and the president director of PT Paramount Enterprise International.

Under the MoU, the parties will explore arrangements for developing landed housing, including the potential for an operational cooperation scheme (KSO), at several strategic Perumnas projects, including Maros, Parayasa and Maja.

The collaboration is expected to attract investment from strategic partners, enabling residential areas to be developed more effectively and sustainably. The partnership is targeted to deliver more than 14,000 housing units across over 200 hectares at three strategic project sites.

Developing residential areas at Perumnas’ strategic project sites is an important approach to supporting the 3 Million Homes programme. Optimising land in strategic urban areas allows housing to benefit from existing infrastructure and connectivity, while creating opportunities for more productive residential districts.

The collaboration is expected to accelerate asset development, increase the capacity to provide public housing and support the creation of sustainable residential areas. It also forms part of Perumnas’ commitment to balance its mandate to develop public housing with business sustainability, while continuing to make housing for low-income communities (MBR) an important part of every development.
