Jakarta - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga invited editors-in-chief of national media outlets and the Indonesian Government Communication Agency to directly observe the process of aviation fuel (avtur) distribution and quality inspection before the fuel is supplied to aircraft at the Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) Halim Perdanakusuma in Jakarta.

Pertamina Corporate Secretary Arya Dwi Paramita stated in Jakarta on Friday that the visit was also intended to demonstrate Pertamina’s operational readiness in supporting smooth public mobility, which is expected to increase during the 2026 Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Period Task Force period.

“Through this visit, we want to directly demonstrate how Pertamina ensures the availability and quality of aviation fuel used in flight operations. Media colleagues can observe the quality inspection stages, from product receipt until before fuel is supplied to aircraft, ensuring the entire process adheres to applicable standards,” Paramita said during the editors-in-chief visit on Wednesday (25/2/2026).

The activity was also attended by Pertamina VP Corporate Communication Muhammad Baron, Pertamina Patra Niaga VP Aviation Fuel Business Yosep Iswadi, and Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun.

During the activity, the editors-in-chief heard presentations about AFT Halim operations and conducted a site visit to directly observe the aviation fuel filling process at Halim Airport and the aviation fuel quality inspection stages before distribution.

Arya noted that AFT Halim is one of the key nodes in the national avtur distribution network. In addition to serving commercial flights, the terminal also supports the operational requirements of the Indonesian Air Force and special/VVIP aviation, and is therefore managed with strict safety and security standards.

Roberth Dumatubun added that aviation fuel quality is a top priority at every distribution stage, ensuring that customers receive products that maintain their integrity.

“We ensure the quality of aviation fuel supplied to all customers complies with specifications and international standards. Quality inspection is conducted upon product receipt, during storage, and before fuel is supplied to aircraft. We implement this multi-layered inspection process throughout the supply chain to ensure that the product customers receive maintains its quality,” he said.

According to him, Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, and aviation fuel stocks are prepared to safely meet 2026 Eid al-Fitr requirements.

“We will also apply special pricing for aviation fuel during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period,” he said.

Yosep Iswadi conveyed that his team has projected aviation fuel requirements and ensured stock readiness and facilities at all aviation fuel terminals, especially at airports expected to experience increased demand during the mudik (homecoming) season.

Muhammad Yusri Darto, Head of RRI News Centre, stated that directly observing this process can help media outlets provide a more comprehensive perspective on energy issues in the public sphere.

“Through this visit, we can understand how the distribution process is carried out, how quality is maintained, and how safety procedures are implemented. This is an important reference for us so that the reporting we provide to the public becomes more accurate,” Yusri said.
