Jakarta — PT Pertamina (Persero) has launched the PFpreneur Development Programme, which focuses on realising the independence of women-led micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM).

Rudi Ariffianto, Vice President of CSR & SMEPP at Pertamina, stated in Jakarta on Tuesday that women entrepreneurs possess significant potential in driving the economy of families and communities.

“As an effort to promote inclusive and equitable entrepreneurship, through Pertamina Foundation, we present the PFpreneur programme, an UMKM development initiative focusing on women-led UMKM that is held annually and has reopened this year,” he said.

The programme is open to female Indonesian citizens aged 18 years or older who have active businesses for a minimum of six months in the fashion, handicraft, culinary and agribusiness sectors.

Participants must register in groups of 3–5 people and are required to follow the entire selection and development process.

Registration for the PFpreneur Programme is open from 2 March to 29 March 2026 via the Pertamina Foundation website (pertaminafoundation.org).

Rudi explained that PFpreneur is part of Pertamina’s UMKM development ecosystem before advanced training at the UMK Academy and Pertapreneur Aggregator.

“PFpreneur is the golden gateway to joining Pertamina’s broad mentoring family. Starting from PFpreneur, women entrepreneurs will be given strengthening in business fundamentals, from entrepreneurial mindset, strengthening business models and product branding, to digital skills for financial management and marketing. Once the foundation is solid, they will move on to advanced training programmes, namely the UMK Academy and Pertapreneur Aggregator,” Rudi said.

Since its launch in 2020, PFpreneur has trained 6,325 women entrepreneurs, with 840 of them becoming PFpreneur mentees.

At the 2025 UMK Academy and Pertapreneur Aggregator events, 7 PFpreneur mentees became UMK Academy champions and 6 mentees became finalists in the Top 10 Pertapreneur Aggregator.

Agus Mashud S Asngari, President Director of Pertamina Foundation, stated that PFpreneur is a strategic initiative designed to enhance the capacity, independence and competitiveness of women-led UMKM through integrated training, tiered curation and sustainable business incubation.

“The presence of the PFpreneur programme is important because women entrepreneurs not only run their businesses but also maintain the economic resilience of their families and surrounding communities,” he said.

Through a structured approach, PFpreneur is expected to produce women entrepreneurs who are not only robust in business but also adaptive to digital transformation and ready to compete in wider markets, Agus clarified.
