Pertamina Geothermal (PGEO) Books Rp2.3 Trillion Profit for Full-Year 2025
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) posted net income attributable to owners of the parent entity of US137.7million, oraboutRp2.3trillion(assuminganexchangerateofRp16, 950/US), for full-year 2025. This figure is down from net income of US$160.49 million in the previous year. According to the company’s consolidated financial statements released, the drop in profit occurred amid rising costs and pressure from exchange rate movements. On the revenue side, PGEO still posted growth. For 2025, the company’s revenue reached US$432.7 million, up from US$407.1 million in 2024. However, the revenue increase was not enough to fully offset rises in certain expenses. Cost of revenue and other direct expenses rose to US$199.7 million from US$166.7 million in the prior year. As a result, PGEO’s gross profit declined to US$233.1 million, compared with US$240.4 million in 2024. In terms of operations, the company still delivered solid performance with operating profit of US$205.6 million, albeit slightly down from US$210.3 million in the previous year. Meanwhile, the pressure on performance also came from a foreign exchange loss of US$7.6 million in 2025. In the previous year, the company recorded a foreign exchange gain of US$16 million. Looking at the balance sheet, PGEO’s total assets stood at US$3.03 billion at end-2025, up from US$2.99 billion in 2024. Fixed assets remained the largest component of the company’s asset structure, valued at around US$2.0 billion, or about 66% of total assets, largely comprising geothermal wells, installations and power plant facilities. Separately, PGEO’s cash and cash equivalents rose to US$718.5 million, up from US$655.2 million in the prior year, reflecting strong operating cash flows. For 2025, PGEO reported cash flows from operating activities of US$313.5 million, higher than US$258.3 million in 2024.
