Pertamina EP Targets Oil Production of 30,305 BOPD in 2026
Jakarta — PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Zona 4 is targeting oil production of 30,305 barrels per day (BOPD) and gas production of approximately 485.07 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) in 2026.
General Manager of PEP Zona 4, Djudjuwanto, stated that the company has prepared a range of operational strategies to achieve these targets, including optimisation of existing fields. Optimisation will be pursued through strengthening development drilling programmes, integrating subsurface and surface operations, and leveraging technology and data to enhance field economics.
“PEP Zona 4 is driving production increases through sustainable operational practices to support national energy security. Safety remains a priority in every operational activity,” Djudjuwanto said in a written statement on Friday, 13 March 2026.
During 2026, PEP Zona 4 will also continue selective infill, interfield, and step-out drilling. These activities are supported by updated geology and reservoir models based on 2D and 3D seismic data, including passive seismic technology.
Djudjuwanto noted that the production increase target for this year is set to maintain momentum following positive performance throughout 2025. In the previous year, oil production reached 27,643 BOPD, whilst gas production totalled 530.9 MMSCFD.
The company also reported significant growth from its development drilling programme. Oil production from the programme increased from 385 barrels per day in 2019 to 3,874 barrels per day in 2025. Gas production from the same programme rose from 0.34 MMSCFD to 12.21 MMSCFD—approximately 40 times higher. This increase aligns with drilling realisation that rose from nine work plans in 2019 to 69 work plans in 2025.
These achievements led PEP and PHE Zona 4 to receive the Best Production Performance Award for Infill and Step-Out Drilling 2025 from SKK Migas (Indonesia’s Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities).
“All these activities are carried out with rigorous risk management,” Djudjuwanto said.
On occupational safety, PEP Zona 4 also reported more than 1,050 days without work-related accidents resulting in lost work time—zero lost-time injuries (LTI)—through the end of January 2026. Additionally, the company recorded an accumulated 84,886,219 safe working hours as of 31 December 2025.
“We will continue to strengthen collaboration to sustain positive performance,” he concluded.
