PT Pertamina (Persero) has dispatched thousands of participants in the Pertamina Joint Homecoming 2026 programme from Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in Jakarta. The programme forms part of Pertamina’s support for the government’s efforts to promote safer, more orderly, and energy-efficient homecoming travel.

Under the “Safe Homecoming, Sharing Hope” themed programme, Pertamina has prepared 153 buses to transport over 5,000 homecoming travellers to 23 destination cities on Java Island.

At the send-off ceremony held on Sunday (15 March), Pertamina’s Chief Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan commended the programme’s implementation, noting its benefits to society. He also urged that the safety of travellers and drivers be prioritised throughout the journey.

“To all homecoming travellers, we leave you with the message to take care of your health and remain united during the journey. To drivers, the most important thing is not speed but safety—ensure all travellers arrive safely at their home towns,” Iriawan stated in a written statement on Monday (16 March 2026).

Pertamina’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Oki Muraza stated that this joint homecoming programme represents Pertamina’s contribution to supporting government policy aimed at improving energy efficiency whilst reducing the congestion of private vehicles during the Eid exodus.

“Through the Pertamina Joint Homecoming 2026 programme, we wish to contribute to supporting the government’s efforts to promote more energy-efficient homecoming travel. By using shared transport such as buses, fuel consumption becomes more efficient whilst helping reduce vehicle congestion on the roads,” said Oki.

He added that the programme’s implementation also represents collaboration among various parties to provide safe and comfortable homecoming travel for the public.

“Through various supporting facilities we have prepared, ranging from comfortable waiting areas, prayer rooms, dedicated lanes for the elderly and pregnant women, to various additional services for participants, we hope that homecoming travellers can begin their journey with peace of mind, safety, and happiness,” explained Oki.

Besides the bus fleet, Pertamina has also provided various facilities for participants, including rest areas, children’s play areas, health services, and meals during the journey.

“From Taman Mini Indonesia Indah this morning, we are not merely dispatching a bus fleet, but also releasing thousands of hopes. Hopes to arrive safely at their home towns, reunite with loved ones, and celebrate Eid with great happiness,” said Oki.

Pertamina also expressed appreciation to all parties involved in the programme’s implementation, from the committee, state-owned enterprise partners, field officers, medical personnel, to drivers.

“The dedication of all parties demonstrates that Pertamina not only supplies energy to the nation, but also brings energy for the happiness and wellbeing of society,” he said.

He hopes that all participants can undertake their journey smoothly and comply with officer instructions throughout the journey.

“May this journey become part of a beautiful Eid story full of gratitude for all homecoming travellers,” Oki added.

The send-off ceremony for Pertamina Joint Homecoming 2026 was also attended by Pertamina’s Board of Commissioners and Executive Directors. Through this programme, Pertamina hopes to support the smooth flow of the 2026 Eid exodus whilst promoting the use of more energy-efficient shared transport.
