Pertamina deploys 57 fuel stations operating 24 hours in Bali ahead of Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr
Denpasar — Pertamina Patra Niaga has mobilised 57 fuel stations to operate 24 hours daily across Bali to serve the public ahead of Nyepi (the Balinese Hindu New Year) and the Eid al-Fitr 2026 migration period.
“We are ensuring that energy supply and distribution remain secure throughout the Ramadhan period and Eid al-Fitr,” said Ahad Rahedi, Manager of Communications, Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility for the East Java, Bali and Southeast Nusa Tenggara region, during a statement in Denpasar, Bali, on Thursday.
He stated that all energy facilities and distribution agencies in Bali have been confirmed to be in optimal condition and ready to serve the public during the major religious celebrations, supported by the establishment of a Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI) task force operating from 9 March to 1 April 2026.
The total number of fuel stations operating in Bali reaches 214 units, with four designated fishermen’s fuel stations, supported by 146 Pertashop outlets, 16 subsidised liquefied petroleum gas filling stations (SPBE) and four non-subsidised stations. Additionally, 37 liquefied petroleum gas agents operate around the clock, out of a total of 124 subsidised LPG agents and 23 non-subsidised agents across the island.
The state-owned oil and gas enterprise has also anticipated fuel stocks and energy distribution to remain secure, adjusting for projected increases in consumption ahead of the two major religious celebrations occurring in close proximity.
Based on consumption projections during the task force period, petrol consumption in Bali is estimated to increase by approximately 5.5 per cent from the average daily consumption of 3,129 kilolitres. Diesel consumption in Bali is projected to decline by approximately 10.7 per cent from the average daily consumption of 654 kilolitres due to restrictions on large truck operations during the Eid al-Fitr migration period. Liquefied petroleum gas consumption in Bali is estimated to rise by 2.2 per cent from the average daily consumption of 960 metric tonnes.
“Beyond secure stocks, we are also strengthening various additional services to ensure the public receives more comfortable service during travel,” he added.
Pertamina has prepared eight motorised emergency fuel delivery units (PDS motorist) in Bali, with four emergency tanker trucks on standby. There is also one SerambiMyPertamina service unit stationed along the migration routes offering additional facilities including rest areas, a mini-clinic and a children’s play area.
Based on national projections, the peak period of public mobility is expected to occur in four phases: two peak periods for outbound travel and two peak periods for return travel. Outbound travel peaks are anticipated during 14-15 March 2026 and 18-19 March 2026, whilst return travel peaks are expected during 24-25 March 2026 and 28-29 March 2026.
