PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), the Gas Subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), is focusing on developing sustainable national energy infrastructure amid solid operational performance throughout 2025, with growth across major business lines to strengthen national energy resilience.

“The company’s strategic initiatives in 2026 are focused on strengthening energy infrastructure, enhancing operational reliability, and optimising the utilisation of cleaner and more efficient energy sources,” said Pertagas President Director Indra Sembiring in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Throughout 2025, the company recorded solid operational performance with growth across all major business lines, including gas transportation, oil transportation, regasification, and LPG transportation.

This increase was driven by strengthened pipeline network connectivity with major gas supply sources, development of integrated energy distribution infrastructure throughout the business chain, and improved service quality for industrial customers.

During 2025, the gas transportation business line recorded a flow volume of more than 1,500 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD), an increase of approximately 4 per cent compared to 2024 actual results.

Meanwhile, oil transportation recorded a flow volume of more than 174,000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD), or growth of approximately 8 per cent, as upstream oil and gas activities increased and supply expanded from several production regions.

In the regasification segment, volumes reached approximately 155 billion British thermal units per day (BBTUD), an increase of approximately 6 per cent, whilst LPG production recorded growth of approximately 5 per cent with flow volumes of more than 450 tonnes per day throughout 2025.

He further stated that the company’s positive performance was also supported by expansion of the customer base across various sectors, ranging from strategic industries to household and MSME segments.

Pertagas services currently reach more than 60 strategic industrial customers in the electricity, fertiliser, petrochemical, oleochemical, steel, ceramics, and glass sectors, as well as more than 250,000 household and MSME connections across various regions of Indonesia.

Pertagas currently operates a natural gas pipeline network of approximately 2,930 kilometres and crude oil transmission pipelines of approximately 605 kilometres. This infrastructure forms the backbone of energy distribution for various strategic national sectors.

From a financial performance perspective, throughout 2025, Pertagas recorded consolidated revenue of $861.51 million on a consolidated basis, with primary contributions from natural gas transportation and trading operations and crude oil transportation.

EBITDA was recorded at $427.46 million, an increase of 15.90 per cent, and net profit recorded an increase of 21.43 per cent compared to the same period last year.

This reflects solid company fundamentals and efficient operations whilst prioritising operational reliability and safety.

Entering 2026, Pertagas is targeting improved operational performance across major business lines, including gas transportation volume reaching approximately 1,600 MMSCFD and oil transportation of approximately 175,000 BOPD.

To achieve these targets, Pertagas will implement various initiatives supporting volume and customer growth.

To support sustainable growth, the company has planned capital expenditure of approximately $75 million this year for energy infrastructure development and enhanced network reliability across several operating regions.

One of the main projects under development is the construction of the Cikampek–Plumpang fuel pipeline, spanning 96 kilometres, which is expected to strengthen the national energy logistics system, reduce distribution costs, and reduce emissions from land transportation in the Jakarta and West Java regions.

Additionally, following completion of the revitalisation of the F-6004 LNG tank at Arun in Aceh, Pertagas will also optimise the utilisation of this facility to strengthen gas supply for the industrial and electricity sectors whilst enhancing Indonesia’s role in the regional energy network.

Going forward, Pertagas is also promoting the development of new business opportunities through increased utilisation of gas and LNG infrastructure, strengthened operational efficiency of the supply chain, and development of future energy sources such as hydrogen and biomethane.

As an integrated energy infrastructure company, Pertagas is optimistic about maintaining its growth momentum whilst expanding its contribution to supporting national energy resilience and Indonesia’s economic growth across various sectors in line with the Government’s Asta Cita.
