The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has formally named Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq as a suspect in a case alleging corruption in the procurement of outsourcing services and other purchases within the Pekalongan Regency Government for the 2023-2026 financial year. ‘Based on the sufficiency of evidence in the alleged criminal act related to the procurement of outsourcing services and other procurements within the Pekalongan Regency Government for the 2023-2026 fiscal year, the KPK has elevated the case to the investigation stage by naming one suspect, namely Ms. FAR,’ said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu at the Merah Putih Building on Wednesday (4 March). The KPK will detain Fadia for the first 20 days from 4 to 23 March 2026 at the State Detention Centre (Rutan) of the KPK Merah Putih building branch. Fadia, who serves as Pekalongan Regent, is the beneficial owner of PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB). In addition, a large proportion of PT RNB’s employees were members of the Regent’s campaign team assigned to work in several Pekalongan Regency government departments. Over the period 2023-2026, PT RNB is known to have secured outsourcing services procurement projects in several Pekalongan Regency government units. In that period, FAR, through MSA and her trusted person, allegedly intervened with department heads to secure PT RNB’s win for outsourcing services procurement across several Departments, Districts, and even the Regional Public Hospital (RSUD) in Pekalongan Regency. For these acts, Fadia is charged under Article 12 letter i and Article 12 B of Law No. 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption, as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001, and in conjunction with Article 127(1) of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP). The case was uncovered by a KPK arrest operation (OTT) carried out in the early hours of Tuesday (3 March) in Semarang, Central Java. A total of 14 individuals arrested were immediately subjected to intensive questioning upon arrival at the KPK headquarters.
