Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq formally named a suspect in outsourcing corruption case
Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq has been formally named as a suspect in a case of alleged corruption related to the procurement of outsourcing or tenaga alih daya services within the Pekalongan Regency government. The KPK’s Deputy for Enforcement Asep Guntur Rahayu said she is the only suspect in the case. The agency elevated the case to the investigative stage after investigators had gathered sufficient evidence, and Fadia Arafiq has been detained for 20 days, from 4 to 23 March 2026, at the KPK’s Gedung Merah Putih Detention Facility.
The charges allege violations of Article 12(i) and Article 12B of Law No. 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Tindak Pidana Korupsi (Corruption) as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001, in conjunction with Article 127(1) of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP).
The probe began with an arrest operation on 3 March 2026 in Semarang, Central Java, where KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq along with an aide and several trusted associates. In addition to Arafiq, 11 other Pekalongan residents were detained for questioning in relation to the case. The KPK says the operations relate to alleged corruption in the procurement of outsourcing services across several dinas (government departments) in Pekalongan Regency. The operation marked the seventh OTT conducted by the KPK in 2026.
