Today marks the return flow from the Eid holidays, expected to peak today and tomorrow. We inquired about the signal network conditions during the holiday period, and alhamdulillah, the public’s response is that the signal network feels safe and good.

South Lampung (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Angga Raka Prabowo directly checked the mobile telecommunications signal network while monitoring signal traffic and radio frequencies during the peak return flow on Friday night at Bakauheni Port, Lampung Province.

Angga Raka, who arrived at Bakauheni Port with Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi at 18:30 WIB, walked together from the ASDP Bakauheni Port Office towards the motorcycle queue line to the pier.

At the side of the route, the Deputy Minister greeted several motorbike owners heading to Merak Port, Tangerang, Banten. On the same occasion, Angga Raka also directly asked about the signal network conditions in the port area.

“Today is the return flow from the Eid holidays, expected to peak today and tomorrow. We asked about the signal network conditions during the holiday period, and alhamdulillah, the public’s response is that the signal network feels safe and good,” said Angga Raka, conveying the content of his conversations with several motorbike owners when met in front of the Main Eid al-Fitr Post (Rafi) of Komdigi at Bakauheni Port on Friday night.

Angga Raka continued that specifically at Bakauheni Port, the average speed of the mobile telecommunications signal network reaches 30 Mbps, with a success rate of 96 percent.

“So, alhamdulillah, it’s very good,” he stated.

In his meeting with motorbike-riding owners, Angga Raka asked about their conditions. The Deputy Minister also reminded them to remain cautious and prayed for their safe arrival at their destinations.

“We also urge the public returning from the Eid holidays today to remain careful, use communication services properly, and report any issues,” Angga Raka added.

From the start of the outbound flow to the return flow today, the number of complaints received by mobile operators has exceeded 10,000. On average, complaints relate to bandwidth and signal network speed.

“We monitored around 10,000 reports to mobile operators about some disruptions, but alhamdulillah, everything has been resolved today,” said the Deputy Minister.

After greeting the motorbike owners, Angga Raka proceeded to check the Mobile Monitoring Centre (Balmon) that monitors signal traffic and radio frequencies 24 hours a day. Then, Angga Raka continued to greet staff from the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) as well as personnel from Indonesia’s four major mobile operators.
