PAUD Student in Bima Dismissed After Mother Questions Free Nutritious Meal Allowance on Social Media
Muhammad Adzan, a kindergarten student at PAUD SPS Bintang Alfa in Dusun Tololara, Madawau Village, Madapangga District, Bima Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, has been expelled by the school. One of the key reasons cited was that his mother, Linda Purnama Sari, publicly questioned the distribution of free nutritious meal allowances (MBG) when students were absent, posting her concerns on social media.
“Yes, he was dismissed,” Linda confirmed to detikBali on Friday, 27 February 2026.
She stated that her son was removed as a student from PAUD SPS Bintang Alfa on 26 February 2026, as documented in an official letter of dismissal issued by the foundation.
“Since Thursday last week, he has not been able to attend school anymore,” she said.
According to the dismissal letter obtained by detikBali, the school provided three reasons for expelling Adzan. First, the student had never attended classes at PAUD SPS Bintang Alfa since enrolling in November 2025. Second, the student was removed from the MBG programme recipient list due to failure to meet attendance requirements. Third, despite repeated communication and guidance efforts, the parent’s actions on social media had damaged the school’s reputation and credibility.
Linda believes her son was expelled as a consequence of her Facebook post questioning the distribution of MBG to absent students. “I simply asked: when a child does not attend school and therefore does not receive the MBG package, who is that package intended for?” she said.
She emphasised that her post was a general statement not directed at any specific school, including PAUD SPS Bintang Alfa. “I did not mention any particular school or PAUD. However, after I posted about MBG, I received a letter dismissing my child from the PAUD,” she explained.
Despite this experience, Linda views the matter as a learning opportunity to be more cautious when posting on social media in future. However, she expressed hope that no other children would be dismissed or expelled from school. “My child alone has been the victim of this brutal and barbaric action by the PAUD foundation,” she concluded.
Arifudin, chairman of the Tunas Perjuangan Anak Negeri Foundation, which oversees PAUD SPS Bintang Alfa Madawau, could not be reached for comment at the time of publication. The foundation is reportedly based in West Lombok Regency.
