Pattimura Big Fight 2026: Two Indonesian Boxers Triumph at Senayan Ring
Indonesian boxers delivered impressive performances at the Pattimura International Big Fight 2026 professional boxing championship held at Studio LPPTVRI Senayan in Jakarta on Friday evening (29 May 2026). Two standout Indonesian fighters, Sunan Agung Amoragam and Noldi Mahakane, triumphed over Thai opponents in the main international bouts of the evening.
Sunan dominated his super-bantamweight (55.3kg) bout against Thai national champion Nathha Phong Nu. Trained by HS Boxing Camp, he took the initiative from the first round and pressed his opponent relentlessly until the referee stopped the contest in the third round. His technical knockout victory secured him the North Maluku Governor Sherly Tjoanda Laos Cup.
‘I prepared thoroughly since February, training at HS Boxing Ciseeng with coach Kamanit and joining national team athletes from the Indonesian Boxing Association (PB Tinju Indonesia) for this match,’ Sunan said after the fight.
The Maluku native stated he is ready to follow management’s guidance regarding his next career steps, adding that all future plans will be determined by his manager Alando, who also serves as chairman of PB Tinju Indonesia in Jakarta.
Indonesia’s victory continued with Noldi Mahakane in the featherweight (57.1kg) division. The former PABA and WBC Asia champion had to fight hard for eight rounds before securing a unanimous points victory over Thai national champion Phirawat Panthong.
In addition to the two wins against Thai boxers, two domestic bouts also produced convincing victories. Refly Manake secured a third-round TKO against Albert Mondome in the super-bantamweight class, while Iwan Kei Ngabalin won by unanimous points over Kristian Malindo Rigiredjo in the lightweight division.
Championship promoter Nikolas Johan Kilikily expressed delight at the Indonesian boxers’ success, stating the victories were a source of pride and the result of support from sponsors, local governments, and the public who offered prayers and encouragement.
Niko also promised a larger event next year, aiming to host an international-level championship with at least PABA or IBO status in August 2027. He noted the Pattimura International Big Fight 2026 was organised in just two months of preparation.
Maluku Governor Hendrik Lewerissa praised the event, held to commemorate the 209th anniversary of National Pattimura Hero Day.
‘As provincial government, I commend this collaboration and cooperation that made tonight’s boxing event possible. I also had the chance to watch boxers from Maluku and North Maluku compete, and they emerged victorious,’ he said.
He expressed hope that the victories of Maluku and North Maluku boxers would be the start of greater achievements in the future. Hendrik also opened the possibility of hosting similar championships in Ambon to provide a broader platform for talented boxers from eastern Indonesia.
‘We know there are many talented boxers in Maluku and North Maluku. They simply need a stage and events to showcase their best performances,’ he added.
Meanwhile, GRIB Jaya Hercules’ chairman praised the Indonesian boxers’ clean sweep of victories at the Pattimura International Big Fight 2026. He highlighted Indonesia’s long tradition of producing internationally renowned boxers such as Chris John and Daud Yordan.
He also specifically praised Noldi Mahakane, who despite not being young, demonstrated his quality by defeating the Thai boxer via unanimous points. He stated the achievement deserved recognition and was a source of pride for Indonesian boxing.
