Jakarta — Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives decided to postpone a working meeting with the Minister of Cooperatives and the Chief Executive Officer of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara (State-Owned Enterprise), which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, 11 March 2026. The postponement occurred because the CEO of Agrinas was absent. Only officials from the Ministry of Cooperatives were present, including Minister Ferry Juliantono and Deputy Minister Farida Farichah.

Initially, Fraksi PDIP member Mufti Anam from Commission VI interrupted the Commission Chair’s opening remarks, questioning the CEO’s absence at today’s meeting.

“With respect, Mr. Chair, this is an important meeting, very important, critically important—why is the Agrinas CEO not present?” said Mufti on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

An Agrinas representative responded that the CEO was unable to attend due to illness.

“With your permission, honourable members of Commission VI, the Agrinas CEO is currently unwell. Last night during our preparation, the CEO was already perspiring heavily and subsequently developed a high fever, which is why he cannot attend,” the Agrinas representative replied.

Mufti then commented further, noting that he had received confirmation of the CEO’s attendance at 10:45 AM. However, approximately five minutes later, the CEO could not attend due to other reasons. Ten minutes after that, the explanation changed to illness, but when asked which hospital, Agrinas did not respond.

“We received a confirmation from the CEO at 10:45 AM saying he would attend. But five minutes later, he couldn’t attend due to other reasons, ten minutes later it was due to illness, and when asked which hospital he was in, they said he had a fever at home,” Mufti continued.

Mufti added that the meeting was important because it concerned the import of 105,000 pickup trucks from India for the operations of the Cooperative for Red-and-White Village Development (KDMP).

“We are requesting that Agrinas take this matter seriously and attend the meeting. This is serious for us because the import of 105,000 vehicles is very significant. We want to know the rationale behind it, and when we asked the Cooperative Minister, he said he didn’t know. Even village heads who are supposed to be end-users of KDMP were unaware and were not consulted,” he emphasised.

Other Commission VI members agreed that the meeting should be postponed until the Agrinas CEO could attend.

Following the members’ request, Commission VI Chair Anggia Erma Rini decided to postpone the meeting indefinitely pending further notice.

“This reflects the aspirations of Commission VI members, who represent the public. Therefore, we will postpone this meeting and will notify you with further information,” said Anggia.
